Merri Creek Trail and Plenty River Trail Ride

Today was a perfect spring day in Melbourne and, with no nasty northerly for a change, I headed north up the Merri Creek Trail. I was hoping that the trail along the Metro Ring Road would be open but it was still closed between Dalton's Rd and Plenty Rd.

This meant I couldn't easily access the Darebin Trail from the Ring Road so I continued on to Greensborough and down the Plenty Trail. The bonus on this route is riding back over the ridge near Banyule Rd from where this photo was taken.
